The family was forced to endure the rising waters and the loss of essential utilities, but they remained safe and unharmed.
Despite the challenging conditions, the Friedmans continued to serve the local Jewish community and visiting Israeli tourists, distributing food and water and ensuring that those affected by the floods received support.
They are now focused on recovery and resuming full operations of their home and community center, hoping to return to normalcy soon.
