    Sephardic Chief Rabbi Amar: “The Rebbe Sent Three Angels To Morocco”

    Rabbi Shlomo Amar, Israel’s Sephardic Chief Rabbi, paid a special visit to the Jewish community in Paris this week. During a reception at the Magen David-Ahavas Shalom Shul he met with the Rebbes Shliach to Toulouse, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Matusof, who was also his Chavrusa, sixty years ago, at the Chabad Yeshiva in Casablanca. Rabbi Amar presented his Sefer to Rabbi Metosov with a special dedication.

    During their conversation, they spoke about Rabbi Shalom Eidelman’s “Aron” being brought from Morocco to the Eretz Yisroel, and Rabbi Metosov mentioned a saying from Rabbi Shalom Mashash of blessed memory, the former Rabbi of Morocco and Jerusalem: “the words “Avnei Shaish is the acronym of the shluchim in Morocco – Rabbi Shlomo Matusof, Rabb Yehuda leib Raskin and Rabbi Sholom Edailson. The chief Rabbi added: “The Rebbe sent three angels to Morocco”.
