During the celebration of Sukkot, the Jewish community of Zaporizhzhia witnessed a significant and joyous event – the ceremony of bringing in a new Sefer Torah!
To observe the tradition, the Sefer Torah was solemnly presented, adorned with a special embroidered cover and a crown. Accompanied by the sounds of nigunim and in an atmosphere of great joy, it was carried through the streets of the city under a Chuppah and brought into the synagogue, where festive hakafot took place.
