A suspect is in custody following a stabbing at the Rutgers Business School in Piscataway.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Three people, including the suspect, are being treated for their injuries, the university said in a statement.

The school issued a tweet shortly before 3 p.m. warning people to avoid the area and take shelter.

Rabbi Yosef Carlebach, executive director of Chabad at Rutgers, told ChabadInfo.com “the police had the Chabad House on lockdown for a little, but now everyone is safe and it is back open and fully running.”

About 45 minutes later, the school said a suspect was taken into custody and that the area was safe.
