Last week, twenty five officials of the Israeli Police Dept. attended a welcome dinner at the Chabad House at Rutgers University that was hosted by Rabbi Yosef Carlebach (Police Chaplain New Jersey State Police) and his son, Rabbi Mendy Carlebach (Police Chaplain Port Authority Police of New York & New Jersey).

The Israeli police officials arrived in the United States to be part of a police motorcycle unity tour to Washington, DC.

This program was created to celebrate Police Week that includes a special memorial service to honor the men and woman of law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The group was given a mini-tour of the Chabad House, and enjoyed a well-deserved Kosher Dinner with many Israeli dishes prepared by Chabad Chef Shmuli Shwinger.

At the dinner, the Chabad Rabbis welcomed the guests, and Chaplain Rabbi Harry Berkowitzy (MTA Police) and NPDF Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti also addressed the Israeli Police Officers.
