We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Rabbi Saadia Jerufi, Shliach, Sofer and mechanech from Taanach, Eretz Yisroel. He passed away on Tuesday, 11 Adar 1, 5784.
He was 79.
In his youth, he studied at the Omchei Temimim in Kfar Chabad. In 5724, he joined a group of Temimim and learned STA”M in a joint project with the Ministry of Religious Services.
After his marriage to his wife Shulamis, he joined Reshet Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Schools in Taanach as an educator and worked as a proofreader and a Sofer.
He is Survived by his wife Shulamis, and children R’ Menachem Mendel Jerufi – Rechovot, Eretz Yisroel; R’ Shmuel Jerufi – Kriyat Mtzkin, Eretz Yisroel; R’ Shneur Zalman Jerufi – Rechovot, Eretz Yisroel; R’ Chaim Jerufi – Crown Heights; R’ Yisrael Jerufi – Rechovot, Eretz Yisroel; Mrs. Shterna Sara Bosi – Arad, Eretz Yisroel; Mrs. Chana Yitzchak; Mrs. Nechama Dina Allouche – Rechovot, Eretz Yisroel, Mrs. Chaya Mushka Amran – Rechovot, Eretz Yisroel, and grandchildren.
The Levaya will take place today in Avital, Eretz Yisroel.
