Established in 1991, Chabad of Port Washington serves members of communities on Long Island’s North Shore.
In recent years Chabad of Port Washington built an educational campus and Jewish day school. The new center includes a shul, preschool, day school, Jewish Library and social hall. Stage two of the development will include five classrooms, a gym/lunchroom, science and computer labs, general studies library, music center, resource room, and a modern Mikvah.
The 28th anniversary celebration on March 31 was held at the Chabad of Port Washington center.
North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Councilmember Dina De Giorgio were in attendance.
The event also celebrated Guest of Honor Lewis Broad and Ben Landa, Legacy Award recipient Miriam Stern and Dr. Martin Brownstein and Dr. Shirley Papilsky for 20 Years of the Samuel Brownstein Shul.
