Philanthropist and businessman R’ Yoseph Yitzchak and his wife Batsheva Popack of Lawrence, New York have kept their annual tradition of sponsoring a special Chanukah gift to all the teachers, morahs and administration of Oholei Torah in honor of Chanukah.
While there is much emphasis about mivztoim, public candle lighting and the like over the Yom Tov of Chanukah, the Popack’s did not forget the unique message of Chanukah, which is Chinuch – that young talmidim should learn and live the Torah.
This has become a tradition and Educational Institute Oholei Torah is proud to be the recipient of the philanthropic chessed of R’ Yoseph Yitzchok and Batsheva Popack, in addition to their many other ongoing projects that they do for Oholei Torah.
Rabbi Joseph Rosenfeld, Executive Director, a long time friend of the Popack Family, thanked R’ Yoseph Yitzchok who enabled this project of teachers and staff recognition. Rabbi Rosenfeld expressed how proud he is that the Popacks have been staunch supporters of the mossad, and constantly take an active role in the growth and development in Oholei Torah, the Flagship school of Chabad.
