Monday morning police officers came to become acquainted and familiar with the culture and customs of the Yeshiva community.
Every so often the precinct gets new officers, and, as part of their training, they are taken around to visit, get to know and learn about the larger community in order to help them interact with them in the future.
The officers came and got a tour of the building, they then sat with the Menahel Rabbi Scharf, who explained to them about Chabad in general, and how the Yeshiva is the training for the bochurim to be able to go out on shlichus.
They also discussed the Yeshiva’s involvement with the community, which includes Friday Mivtzoim, Tahalucha on Shabbos afternoon, Yom tov Mivtzoim etc.
The officers were very impressed and appreciative of the learning opportunity that was given to them.
The Yeshiva thanks the police department for being so supportive of the Yeshiva and the Jewish community in general and looks forward to a continued strong relationship.
