Under the leadership Rabbi Yakov and Hana Poliwoda of Chabad Boquete, and in conjunction with the Bais Menachem Youth Development Program (Wilkes-Barre), 12 Bochurim spent a full month in Panama.
Rabbi Yair Cohen and his wife Chaya led the learning and ruchnius program with the help of Shluchim Zusha Sandman and Ari Holzman. Bochurim were challenged to learn a Ma’amar by heart and were quizzed regularly on their Gemara learning, showing motivation and determination that surprised Bochurim themselves.
The 30-day experience included (almost) daily trips around beautiful Boquete and a visit to Bocas del Toro and then to Panama City.
This second edition of Yeshivas Kayitz Panama proved valuable and with exciting potential for future editions.
