A new permanent home for the Chabad House serving Jerusalem’s business district was dedicated this week in a festive ceremony attended by Rabbanim, public officials, supporters, and members of the community.
Led by Shliach Rabbi Levi Latter and his wife, the new center in Givat Shaul features a spacious Shul and Beis Midrash and serves as a hub for Torah, tefillah, and outreach to the area’s many business professionals, yeshivah students, and local residents.
Among the speakers were Rabbi Yehoshua Weiss, Rabbi Menachem Latter, Rabbi Naftali Lipsker of Tzach, MK Avi Maoz, and Goldmobile Jerusalem manager Rubi Esperansa, who shared how Rabbi Latter’s outreach inspired him to begin putting on tefillin daily despite their differing political views.
In his address, Rabbi Latter highlighted the Chabad House’s growing impact, noting that it now operates 21 permanent tefillin stations throughout the area, including one inside the studios of Kan 11 news, where hundreds of Jews put on tefillin each day.
The evening concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a farbrengen that continued late into the night.
