Paris: Harav Yaakov Shapira Impressed By Chabad’s “Sinai School” System

The Rosh Yeshiva of Merkaz HaRav and member of the Chief Rabbinate in Eretz Yisroel, HaRav Yaakov Shapira visited the Chabad “Sinai” educational network in France, which is directed by Shliach, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Pevzner.
The renowned Chabad “Sinai School” system, is one of the largest school systems in France, with thousands children studying daily in the six buildings belonging to the network and spread across several different neighborhoods in Paris.
Harav Shapira asked to see the students and hear from them about their connection to Yiddishkeit, Torah, and mitzvos in France. And was very impressed by the scope of the mosad and the lively spirit that prevails in every corner of the educational institutions, and even asked and urged Rabbi Pevzner to establish educational institutions in this spirit for immigrants from France.
He was accompanied by his son-in-law Rabbi Silvetsky, Rosh Yeshiva HaGolan, Rabbi Yoel Manowitz, and Secretary of the Chief Rabbinate Rabbi Markowitz.
