Rabbi Mendy and Rivky Hertzel (nee Greenberg) were announced this year at the Kinus Hashluchim Banquet as the new Shluchim to the country of Zambia, in South-Central Africa.
The Hertzels were appointed by Rabbi Shlomo Bentolila, head Shliach to the Congo and 11 countries in Central Africa.
Growing up on shlichus in the Golan Heights and Alaska respectively, Mendy and Rivky looked for a place where they’d be truly needed, a country where they can begin building up from scratch.
The Hertzels were welcomed with open arms right before Purim, and they’ve hosted many events, programs for kids, and Yom Tov meals since.
The small but thriving Jewish community is made up of locals, Israeli businessmen, American and British expats, and tourists.
Help them kickstart their shlichus in a brand new country by partnering with them in their campaign!
