Yafo, one of Israel’s most historic and culturally diverse cities, has experienced a growing Jewish revival in recent years. The Tamams are dedicated to strengthening the local Jewish community, organizing Torah classes, Farbrengens, public Menorah lightings, and distributing handmade Shmura Matzah before Pesach—all while fostering deep personal connections with Jaffa’s Jewish residents.
“We feel honored to take part in the Rebbe’s mission to illuminate every corner of the world with the light of Judaism and hasten the Redemption,” says Rabbi Tamam. With this vision in mind, they are actively working to establish a new Chabad center, creating a vibrant hub for Jewish life in the city.
