A new Sefer, Tiferes Yosef Yitzchak, has been published in honor of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Wilschanski A”H, the longtime Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas Chasidei Chabad Lubavitch, Tzfas, and a Shliach of the Rebbe. The volume brings together an extensive collection of Torah by leading Chabad Roshei Yeshivah and Rabbonim from Eretz Yisroel and around the world.
Among the contributors are Rabbi Shneur Zalman Labkowski, Rosh Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim – 770; Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson of Brunoy, France; Rabbi Moshe Heber of Kiryat Gat; Rabbi Yitzchak Goldberg of Migdal HaEmek; and Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Blinov of Kfar Chabad.
The volume also includes Torah contributions from numerous Chabad Rabbonim, including Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu of Tzfas, Rabbi Gedalia Axelrod of Haifa, Rabbi Meir Ashkenazi of Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun of Crown Heights, and many others.
Spanning more than 750 pages, the sefer opens with selections from Rabbi Wilschanski’s profound shiurim in the Rebbe’s Torah on yeshivah subjects in which he devoted himself to learning and teaching. It continues with original Torah insights in Niglah, Chassidus, Halachah, and Geulah and Moshiach, as well as a section of Drush written in his honor by Rabbonim from Tzfas and the surrounding area.
Additional contributions come from family members, longtime Chavrusos, fellow Shluchim in Eretz Yisroel and Australia, and former talmidim who now serve as Rabbonim and Shluchim around the world.
The sefer also includes letters from the Rebbe to Rabbi Wilschanski’s grandfather, Rabbi Betzalel Wilschanski A”H, with explanations and references, as well as Torah essays by his brother, Rabbi Shneur Zalman Wilschanski A”H, Rosh Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Morristown, New Jersey, and his brother-in-law, Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi A”H, longtime Rav of Kfar Chabad and one of the leading Poskim of his generation.
Tiferes Yosef Yitzchak stands as a lasting tribute to Rabbi Wilschanski’s life of Torah, teaching and Shlichus.
