Rabbi Moshe Golschmid, HY”D, was a devoted Chassid of the Frierdiker Rebbe and one of the prominent students of the Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva in Lubavitch.
Due to the harsh decrees of the Communist regime in the Soviet Union, which prohibited any possibility of Jewish education, Reb Moshe decided to immigrate to Eretz Yisrael, settling in Chebron. There, he became the vibrant soul of the local community, serving as the Shochet, Bodek, as well as in other public roles.
During the events of 1929, on the 18th of Menachem Av, Arabs broke into his home and murdered him with brutal cruelty.
The Niggun associated with him was recorded by the students of Reb Yehuda Eber, the Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch. H taught them many Niggunim.
