A collection of photos from a rare meeting the Rebbe had with the prominent Israeli Posek and Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, has recently been released. A collection of photos from a rare meeting the Rebbe had with the prominent Israeli Posek and Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, has recently been released.
Rabbi Eliyahu was serving as Chief Sephardic Rabbi of the Israel at the time and this was the last Yechidus that he had with the Rebbe, taking place in 5752.
When people found out that the Rebbe would be meeting with Rabbi Eliyahu, the news spread like wildfire, since the Rebbe had almost entirely stopped having private Yechidus nearly a decade before.
Following the meeting, the Rebbe escorted Rabbi Eliyahu outside.

The rebbes apartment in the library
this was at the Rebbe’s apartment in the library next to 770. It was constructed for the Rebbe & Rebbitzen, so that it would be easier to stay close to 770 for shabbos & yomim tovim.
