During the meeting, the Shluchim presented the ambassador with an overview of their ongoing work: strengthening the Jewish community through Torah classes and gatherings, Jewish education, Yom Tov activities for children and youth, assisting Jews visiting Kenya for work, travel, or outreach, and spreading the teachings of Chassidus and the Seven Noahide Laws. They also highlighted Chabad’s charitable projects in schools and underprivileged areas, fostering a meaningful connection between the Jewish community and wider Kenyan society.
Ahead of Chanukah, the Shluchim emphasized The Rebbe’s directive to “increase in holiness” and transform darkness into light—a message that resonated with the ambassador, who expressed interest in incorporating these values into educational and social initiatives in Kenya. Ideas discussed included installing a public menorah in Nairobi and other projects that could strengthen the bond between Kenya and global Jewry.
The meeting concluded with a spirit of outreach and renewal, leaving a sense of openness and new opportunities for broader cooperation. The Shluchim described the meeting as “another step in preparing Kenya to welcome the coming of Moshiach, and in bringing the Rebbe’s light to every corner of the world.”
