Netanyahu on His Way to the U.S.: “With God’s Help We Will Succeed”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew out to Washington this morning (Sunday) ahead of his meeting later this week with U.S. President Donald Trump • Full Story
During their meeting, the two leaders are expected to discuss the situation in Gaza, the hostages, and the ongoing confrontation with the Iranian axis, along with other key issues.
Before his departure, Netanyahu addressed the fact that he is the first foreign leader invited to meet with Trump: “I am now on my way to Washington for a very important meeting with President Trump. The fact that this will be his first meeting with a foreign leader since his inauguration has great significance for Israel.”
He continued: “I believe that in the meetings, we will also discuss the critical issues before us — defeating Hamas, bringing all our hostages home, and dealing with the Iranian axis in all its components, an axis that threatens not only Israel’s security but also the security of the Middle East and the entire world. The decisions we have made during the war, combined with the bravery of our soldiers, have already changed the face of the Middle East. They have changed it beyond recognition. I believe that through hard work with President Trump, we can change it even more for the better.
We can strengthen Israel’s security, expand the circle of peace even further, and usher in a wonderful era that we never dreamed of — an era of prosperity, security, and peace through strength. The strength of our soldiers, the strength of our citizens, the strength of Israel, and the strength of the alliance between Israel and the United States. With God’s help, we will do it — with God’s help, we will succeed.”
