Nearly 100 Shluchim from around the world who dedicate their work to reaching young Jewish professionals through Chabad Young Professionals (CYP) gathered in Austin, Texas, for the annual CYP International Kinus — a two-day conference focused on strengthening shlichus among young professionals.

Hosted by Rabbi Mendy and Mussie Levertov of CYP Austin, together with CYP International, the Kinus brought together veteran and newly appointed CYP Shluchim for workshops, learning sessions, Farbrengens, and opportunities to exchange ideas and strengthen connections.

The Kinus addressed the unique opportunities and challenges of building Jewish communities for young professionals, providing Shluchim with practical tools for leadership, community growth, and developing meaningful one-on-one relationships.

A highlight of the Kinus was a special presentation in which twelve Shluchim shared how one of the Rebbe’s Twelve Pesukim influences their approach to guiding and inspiring young Jewish professionals.

The program also included a gala evening centered around the importance of Torah study, followed by an uplifting all-night Farbrengen where Shluchim shared experiences, strengthened friendships, and inspired one another.

Rabbi Yosef Levertov, head Shliach to Austin, welcomed the Shluchim, highlighting the growth of Jewish life in the city and the impact of the local CYP community. Rabbi Beryl Frankel, Director of CYP International, noted that while large-scale programs are important, the true impact of CYP is built through personal relationships and communities centered around Torah and Jewish connection.

The Shluchim returned to their communities with renewed inspiration, practical tools, and fresh ideas to continue expanding Jewish life among young professionals around the world.
