A tremendous miracle occurred this morning near 770, when an school bus lost control on Eastern Parkway near Albany Avenue and crashed into the front entrance of a residential building. The bus first knocked down a tree, crossed the intersection and service lane, and then slammed directly into the building’s front doors. The dramatic crash occurred on Eastern Parkway near Albany Avenue, as the school bus suddenly veered out of control.
The bus struck and knocked over a tree before continuing across the intersection and the service lane. It then crashed straight into the front doors of the residential building, causing significant damage.
The miracle was that no one was injured. The driver, who was alone on the bus, escaped without injury, and, remarkably, there were no students aboard and no pedestrians were struck.
The crash occurred just a short distance from 770, in a busy Crown Heights neighborhood where the streets are especially crowded during Tishrei.
The circumstances that caused the driver to lose control remain under investigation.
