Shluchim from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin gathered this week in Cleveland, Ohio, for the annual Midwest Regional Kinus HaShluchim.
The Kinus was dedicated in memory of Rabbi Yehuda Leib (Leibel) Alevsky A”H, the longtime head Shliach of Ohio, who led Chabad’s activities throughout the state for more than five decades and played a pivotal role in the growth of Jewish life across the region.
Throughout the Kinus, the Shluchim discussed ways to expand programs and strengthen their local communities, while sharing insights and experiences from their respective Shlichus. The program provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, address common challenges, and explore new initiatives for the coming year.
A special emphasis was placed on drawing inspiration from Rabbi Alevsky’s lifelong dedication to spreading Yiddishkeit and Chassidus, and on continuing to build upon the strong foundation he established.
The Kinus concluded with a spirited Chassidishe farbrengen, where the Shluchim strengthened one another in their shared mission and renewed their commitment to advancing Jewish life throughout the Midwest.
