Miami: Mesivta Dor Shvii Kicks Off Year with Inspiring Elul Zman
Founded by Reb Labish Richardson under the leadership of Rabbi Ben Bursk, YDS has seen Bochurim, Shluchim, and Hanholah working around the clock, engaging deeply with each student through learning and Farbrengens. The level of learning has been steadily rising, with Bochurim pushing themselves daily in Chassidus, Iyun, Halacha, and more. Weekly tests have showcased clear progress, with every student showing measurable improvement and growth.
In addition to the learning, great effort has been made to provide the Bochurim with a rich and well-rounded experience, including trips, Shabbatons, farbrengens, Seder Sichos, specialty shiurim, and one-on-one learning and tutoring sessions. This has helped create an environment where each student feels empowered to achieve and succeed in their learning and personal growth.
Reflecting on the success of the Elul Zman, Rabbi Ben Bursk shared, “Witnessing Bochurim genuinely happy to be in Yeshiva is so inspiring to me. I’m surrounded daily by growth from Bochurim and staff alike, and it’s an honor to be here.”
Reb Labish Richardson added, “Our Bochurim are not just students. They are our children. We must look at all of them as though they were diamonds. This is a generation that can be led with love and tolerance. Only with that combination can we achieve the highest level of education.”
Parents have also expressed their heartfelt satisfaction with YDS. Rabbi & Mrs. Tamari shared, “Switching my son to YDS was the best decision we’ve made. He’s genuinely happy, which gives a geshmak and excitement to his learning. The staff are amazing and dedicated, creating a warm Chassidishe environment.”
Rabbi & Mrs. Seewald added, “The staff goes above and beyond to make each child feel happy and comfortable. They focus on the growth of each student to attain their full potential with the ultimate goal of becoming someone that would give the Rebbe tremendous nachas.”
Rabbi & Mrs. Lazar expressed their contentment: “Myself and my wife are very happy with YDS. Our son is learning and davening in a warm Chassidishe environment, and having a great time too!”
Rabbi & Mrs. Barrocas shared: “YDS provides our son with a Chassidishe atmosphere and the structure all boys need, while treating him as an individual and a whole person. The hanhala really knows each boy. Every single member of the hanhala is warm and caring!”
Rabbi & Mrs. Sacho added: “My son was very apprehensive about starting this new chapter—Mesivta. YDS has gone above and beyond to ensure he is happy and adjusted. The love and care they give to each student is something I have never experienced in any yeshiva.”
