Baruch Hashem, it seems that the vengeance of the plague of “Covid -19” seems to have subsided. Many of those that were seriously sick, have come home and people are beginning to go out and return to “normal”. Yet, we all are aware that it is not over and that – until the revelation of Moshiach – there is always a need for protection.
We, as Chassidim of the Rebbe, are so lucky that our Rebbe trained us to truly believe that our Mezuzas are our main protection. Thousands of Yidden received the “Bedikas Teffilin and Mezuzos” answer from the Rebbe, when writing about different issues that they were experiencing. Now is no different and many Chassidim are – not waiting for Elul, rather – having their tefillin and Mezuzos checked now. This is a beautiful demonstration of our Emunah.

In most cases, that would B”H be true. Unfortunately, safrus has also become a commercial business, and mezuzos and tefillin are checked very quickly and many pesulim are overlooked. In addition, some of the sofrim that are checking STAM are not certified or qualified to check.
The “Mezuza Awareness Project” – spearheaded by Rabbi Moshe Dovid Wolf of Chicago sent packages of Passul (verified Pesulim by poskim) Mezuzos to 9 Sofrim in Crown Heights. The results are being shown to you on the enclosed video. You be the Judge!
