Yeshivas Lubavitch Cincinnati, directed by Rabbi Gershon Avtzon, hosted the 9th annual Lag B’Omer Parade for the entire Southern Ohio. The Talmidei Hashluchim worked very hard for weeks to make sure that everything would run smooth.
At 4pm, hundreds of children came from all over Cincinnati and surrounding communities to join in a special rally. They were greeted by floats, music, clowns and balloons. After saying the Pesukim, they were treated to a spectacular juggling show, by Daniel Granovetter, and amazing refreshments courtesy of Rabbi Shalom Kalmanson, Chabad of Southern Ohio.
At 5 Pm, the march through the streets of the city began. The local police departments blocked off the streets thanks to the coordination of the local chaplain, Rabbi Mendy Kalmanson.
Many more people, local shluchim as well as guests as far out as Cleveland (!), marched proudly in the streets to live music and children waving posters about Yiddishkeit and Moshiach.
The parade ended by the Yeshiva building where the kids were treated to a special carnival, bbq and grand raffle. All the children walked out strengthened in their Shlichus of Lekabel Pnei Moshiach Tzidkeinu!
