Rabbi Chanoch Chaskind was shocked to see an email informing him that one of his many ‘Daily Rebbe Videos’ was removed from Youtube.
The video, titled “The Rebbe’s View on Same-Gender Marriages” was removed under Youtube’s “hate speech policy”.
“… It’s our job”, said the email, “to make sure that Youtube is a safe place for all”.
This comes as media and social networks around the country and the world have been under fire for restricting free speech under the guise of being “offensive”.
Youtube’s policy states that “we remove content promoting violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on any of the following attributes.”
My Maor’s daily content for adults and kids has become a mainstay in thousands of Lubavitch homes over the last several years.
