Manhunt Underway: Moderate Injury in Terrorist Shooting Attack Near Ariel

A young man, around 20 years old, was injured this evening (Wednesday) in a shooting attack near the New Farm area, close to the Ariel industrial zone in the Shomron • Full Story

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that the injured man was taken to Beilinson Hospital in moderate condition, conscious, with a penetrating wound to his hand. Security forces launched a manhunt for the terrorist, set up roadblocks in the area, and were also conducting aerial operations.

The police confirmed that the Commander of the Shai District, Major General Moshe Pinchi, is on his way to the scene. The IDF spokesperson stated, “An Israeli citizen arrived at the Ariel industrial zone, wounded by gunfire. Security forces initiated a manhunt for the attacker and are setting up roadblocks in the area.”

MDA Senior Paramedic reported, “We reached an 18-year-old man, fully conscious, suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand. He told us he was shot while driving near the farm. We provided medical treatment and transported him to the hospital while continuing care. His condition is moderate and stable.”

A paramedic and ambulance driver from United Hatzalah who provided initial assistance, said, “We were informed on-site that the young man, about 18 years old, was wounded by gunfire. We provided him with medical treatment at the scene, and he was then transferred to Beilinson Medical Center, where his condition is currently classified as moderate.”

Yossi Dagan, Head of the Shomron Regional Council, responded: “This is the third shooting incident in this area in a short period, and unfortunately, we are not receiving clear and sufficient answers from the IDF and the security establishment despite our attempts. I demand a change in approach — we need to turn the tables. This is yet another serious attack that proves what we have been saying again and again — Judea and Samaria must be treated as a frontline, just like Gaza and Lebanon.”

He added: “The terrorism here is not a series of isolated local events, but rather an organized and ongoing assault against the settlement enterprise and the Jewish people as a whole. The response must be clear: not just dealing with isolated terror cells, but a broad, organized attack that strikes terror and its infrastructure forcefully. Our enemies must understand that they will pay a heavy price for any attempt to harm us. Only the IDF is authorized and should be responsible for dealing with terrorism. The residents of Samaria, along with all citizens of Israel, back the IDF and demand a change in approach and clear answers. I call on the government and the security establishment to act immediately and decisively to restore deterrence, deepen our hold on the land, and provide real security to the residents of Judea and Samaria, and from there, to all citizens of the State of Israel!”
