We are all shocked and pained by the horrific murder of our fellow Shliach, HaKadosh Rabbi Zvi Kogan, may his blood be avenged, who was murdered by vile terrorists while carrying out his Shlichus in Dubai.
The heart refuses to believe that as we stand on the brink of the International Kinus HaShluchim, we receive such terrible news, and we all turn to Hashem with a cry: Ad mosai?! It’s time for You to say enough to our troubles and send us the True and Complete Redemption in actual reality!
In connection with this, it was decided to dedicate the convention to the elevation of the soul of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, of blessed memory, may he be a good advocate for all the Shluchim among all of Am Yisrael.

Here are a few brief updates:
A. Following the murder, we are in contact with both the New York Police Department and security officials in Israel, in order to ensure that we are doing everything possible for the safety of the Shluchim. The New York Police will secure all events during the convention; first and foremost the Shluchim themselves who are present in Beis Chayeinu – 770, as well as all the workshops, sessions, and the festive banquet.
B. Security personnel will conduct a workshop on the security of Chabad houses, how to keep an eye out for suspicious individuals, and what to do in case of concern. Details of the workshops will be published in the full program that will be sent, G-d willing, on Tuesday morning.
