Joyous Chanukah Celebrations Bring Light to Nicaragua
Chanukah in Nicaragua has been a vibrant celebration of light and unity, with the Chabad House serving as the festive center. Led by Rabbi David Attar, the Rebbe’s Shliach and the country’s chief rabbi, the nightly menorah lighting ceremonies have been filled with spirited singing, lively dancing, and heartfelt gratitude to Hashem for the miracles and blessings experienced by the Jewish people.
Dozens of Jewish travelers from Israel and around the world have joined these celebrations, creating an uplifting and unique holiday atmosphere. Guests have embraced the warmth of the occasion, forging connections through shared traditions and embodying the universal message of Chanukah—spreading light amidst darkness.
Rabbi Attar reflected on the gatherings’ impact: “It’s truly inspiring to witness Jews from diverse backgrounds coming together, united by the menorah’s light. This is the heart of Chanukah—bringing people closer to one another and their faith.”
The nightly festivities have transformed Nicaragua into a beacon of Jewish pride, leaving participants with cherished memories and a deeper connection to their heritage.
