“We will use all our means so all the hostages return, and we will make sure that Hamas won’t be in Gaza the day after the war,” Cohen declared.
Until now, Israel had continued supplying electricity to a water desalination plant in central Gaza, even as Hamas held Israeli hostages and waged war. The rest of Gaza’s power has come from generators and fuel, but with Israel halting humanitarian aid last week, no fuel has entered the Strip since.
This long-overdue decision strengthens Israel’s pressure campaign against Hamas, ensuring that the terror group no longer benefits from Israeli resources while holding innocent civilians captive.
