Interior Minister Moshe Arbel Visits Beis Menachem School in Laval, France
This week, Israel’s Minister of the Interior, Moshe Arbel, visited the “Beis Menachem” school in Laval, France. He was warmly received by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Pewzner, director of the Sinai educational network, along with his son, Rabbi Aryeh Pewzner, who serves as the building’s director and rabbi • Full Story, Photos
During the visit, Minister Arbel toured the new and impressive school building, which accommodates approximately 450 children daily. He praised the school’s state-of-the-art facilities and the expansive educational programs led by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Pewzner to strengthen Jewish education and heritage preservation in France.
Also in attendance were Yoann Atlan and Simcha Namani, department heads of the school, along with other directors of the Sinai network institutions, who expressed their gratitude to the minister for his visit.
Minister Arbel commended the students and school leadership for their dedication and highlighted the significance of the building’s name, “Beis Menachem”, in honor of The Lubavitcher Rebbe. He spoke about the Rebbe’s profound impact on Jewish identity worldwide and how his legacy continues to inspire future generations.
The students welcomed the minister with renditions of “Hevenu Shalom Aleichem” and “Am Yisrael Chai”. During the visit, one of the students delivered a speech expressing gratitude and blessings to the minister, wishing him success in his role and praying for the safe return of the hostages.
Under Rabbi Pewzner’s leadership, the Sinai network continues to serve as a pillar of excellence in Jewish education, both in France and worldwide.
