The Israeli Air Force and IDF Artillery are providing critical support to ground forces with precise strikes aimed at military targets in the region. The operations, known as “Northern Arrows,” were authorized by the political echelon and are set to continue in conjunction with ongoing combat efforts in Gaza and other areas.
“The IDF is committed to achieving the objectives of the war while ensuring the safety of Israeli citizens and facilitating the return of residents in northern Israel to their homes,” the statement emphasized.
During a Security Cabinet meeting on Monday evening, ministers approved the next phase of IDF activities in Lebanon. Prior to this, UNIFIL forces reportedly requested the Lebanese army to evacuate several positions along the border in anticipation of an Israeli ground incursion. Sources indicated that the evacuation took place in the early evening, with Lebanese forces withdrawing approximately five kilometers north of the border. Following this, the IDF initiated artillery fire into southern Lebanon.
Avichay Adraee, head of the Arab media division of the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, urged residents of three buildings in the Dahieh suburb of Beirut to evacuate immediately. “You are near Hezbollah’s interests and facilities, and therefore the IDF will act against them with force,” he warned. “For your safety and the safety of your family members, please evacuate the buildings immediately and maintain a distance of at least 500 meters.”
