President Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed new steps toward a Gaza cease-fire deal in a phone call on Thursday, after Hamas submitted new suggestions that could rekindle talks between the two sides.

Netanyahu told Biden he was sending a delegation to continue negotiations for the release of hostages held by Hamas, and would only end the war once Israel achieves all of its goals, according to a summary of the conversation from the Israeli prime minister’s office. Those goals include destroying Hamas and bringing the hostages back.

In a rare display of cooperation, Palestinian Authority ‘security forces’ evacuated two Jewish adults from Jenin on Wednesday night, handing them over to Israeli authorities at the Gilboa Crossing.

The couple, residents of central Israel, had taken a wrong turn and found themselves in the West Bank city. At a PA checkpoint, they were identified and transferred to the care of the Civil Administration’s coordination unit in Jenin and Israel Police representatives.

The terrorists, who are brothers, were killed by security forces and armed civilians amid the attack on the Route 1 highway between Yerushalayim and the city of Ma’ale Adumim on February 22. The third terrorist, was detained.

The IDF says troops operated in the Bethlehem area town of Za’atara overnight to demolish the homes.

As a matter of policy, Israel demolishes the homes of Arabs accused of carrying out deadly terror attacks.

Elsewhere in the Shomron, three wanted Arabs were detained. Since October 7, troops have arrested some 4,200 wanted Arab terrorists across the Yehudah and Shomron, including more than 1,750 affiliated with Hamas.
