Earlier this week, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed that the IDF had eliminated Ismail Barhoum, the Hamas-appointed prime minister in Gaza, in a strike in Khan Younis.
According to the IDF, Barhoum was a key figure in Hamas’s political bureau and played a significant role in decision-making directly impacting the group’s terrorist activities. He was also responsible for managing Hamas’s financial network, including channeling funds to its military wing for planning and executing attacks against Israel.
