German Politician Visits Berlin Jewish Campus

Christian Lindner, head of the FPD, one of the largest parties in Germany, visited the Pears Jüdischer Campus, a facility which is currently under construction, as well as the Great Jewish Center in Berlin, headed by the city’s Chief Rabbi and Shliach of the Rebbe MH”M, Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal.
Lindner toured the campus and the magnificent synagogue, adorning a yarmulke when he entered the facility. He heard from Rabbi Teichtal about the Jewish renewal in the country and the thousands of Jews who find a physical and spiritual home in Germany, mere decades after being massacred at the hands of the Nazis, YM”SH.
Rabbi Teichtal told Lindner about the campus that is currently being completed, a place that will become a center for all German Jews and include a restaurant, a magnificent mikveh, an education center, and a huge synagogue.
Mr. Lindner applauded Rabbi Teichtal for his countless efforts in strengthening the Jewish community infrastructure in the European country.
“This is a real revival,” Lindner told the rabbi, “Until I saw with my own eyes I did not believe that this was what the revolution looked like.”
At the end of the visit, he pledged to support the Jewish community in any way he could.
