Last Thursday, a Hachnosas Sefer Torah took place at the IDF’s Re’im army base, near the Gaza border, which oversees all military operations in the region.
The writing of the Torah began in assembly areas of the base, when at the end of the writing a mass procession began to the central base, with the participation of hundreds of soldiers who joined to dance and rejoice in the joy of the Torah.
During the evening, the soldiers were treated to a large meat bar.
The Sefer Torah will be used for the Mitzvah Tanks during the war. The head of the Chabad Mitzvah Tanks in Eretz Yisroel, Rabbi David Nachshon thanked Rabbi Yitzhak Kogan and his family for the donating of the Sefer Torah.
