60 students from the Chabad mesivta outside of Dnipro, Ukraine were greeted with singing and dancing upon arrival in Paris’s Charles Degaulle Airport, following a long, extremely tiring journey out of the war torn country.

Leading the delegation to greet the refugee bochurim were Chief Rabbi of France Chaim Korsia, together with Rabbi Mendel Azimov, Senior Shliach to Paris. The two were flanked by talmidim of the Chabad mesivta of Cergy, France.

After packing onto buses, the exhausted group was driven to Paris’s Beth Chaya Mouchka, where the students enjoyed a hot meal, finally allowing them some rest after their tedious trip.

Students and families of yeshiva staff boarded an overnight train to Odessa Monday night. From there they drove across the border to Moldova, where they were greeted by local Shluchim.

Paris is not their final destination, as the yeshiva will be moving to Dusseldorf, Germany, where a proper facility has been prepared for them to continue their learning.

The Dnipro yeshiva numbers about 60 talmidim. A majority of them are sons of Shluchim from across Europe and the Former Soviet Union.
