In what has become a longstanding annual tradition, over a thousand attended a special event and farbrengen for the descendants of the Alter Rebbe in the atmosphere of Hakhel, on Motzei Shabbos in Yerushalayim.
Headlining the event Rabbi Chaim Elazar Weiss of Beitar Illit and spoke of the miracles the Alter Rebbe’s descendants receive on a daily basis.
Rabbi Yaakov Halperin an eighth-generation descendant of the Alter Rebbe and Shliach to Yerushalyim, read the Rebbe’s letter. The event was emceed by Rabbi Shalom Dovber Marzel, Shliach and Rav in Nachlot.
A teshura was given out to the participants the booklet ‘Hatefillah Beyemos Hachol U’Beyom Hashabbos’ with Ma’amorim of The Alter Rebbe courtesy of Rabbi Zionce.
The event took place as part of the Jerusalem Municipality’s cultural events, with thanks to Rabbi Yaakov Halperin, the Rebbe’s Shliach and Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem.
