Chief Rabbi of Be’er Sheva Visits Crown Heights
Rabbi Avraham Deri, Chief Rabbi of Be’er Sheva and a member of the Chief Rabbinate Council of Israel, visited the United States this week as part of a tour aimed at strengthening Jewish communities across the country. Rabbi Avraham Deri, Chief Rabbi of Be’er Sheva and a member of the Chief Rabbinate Council of Israel, arrived in the United States this week for a tour focused on strengthening Jewish communities.
He began the tour with a special visit to 770, where Rabbi Shneur Greenwald accompanied him on an extensive and impressive tour of the buildings.
Rabbi Deri was deeply moved by the opportunity to experience firsthand the unique atmosphere of holiness at the Rebbe’s places of Tefillah, Torah study and Farbrengens.
Following the tour, a distinguished Kabolas Ponim was held in the Zal of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Queens in honor of the visiting rabbi. The yeshivah, headed by Rabbi Menachem Mendel HaKohen Hendel, warmly welcomed Rabbi Deri, who gave a Shiur to the Talmidim.
Rabbi Deri expressed his strong impression of the students’ knowledge and proficiency in their studies. He thanked Rabbi Hendel for the warm reception and offered his blessing for the continued success of the yeshivah and its institutions.
