Following the wartime situation in which Israeli citizens find themselves in these days, when as a result the airport is suspended and hundreds of thousands of Israelis staying abroad cannot return home, Chabad Shluchim around the world have mobilized on their behalf, in every area where they are required to assist.
About a month after regular El Al flights between Israel and Moscow resumed, many Israelis whose home and family are in Israel found themselves stranded in the Russian capital, and now cannot return to the Land of Israel. Among them are many family members who arrived last week for several weddings and celebrations of students and graduates of educational institutions in Moscow, as well as various businesspeople.
In accordance with the mutual responsibility of ‘All Israel are responsible for one another,’ the Shluchim mobilized under the management of the “Jewish Charity Center Sha’arei Tzedek” for these Jews, and announced a free service of receiving hot meals daily, for every Israeli citizen who cannot return home. In addition to this, every guest is invited to come to the central synagogue “Marina Roshcha” and join the renowned Sabbath meals, where the tribes of Israel sit together as brothers.
In the central synagogue, prayer services are held from morning hours until late evening, and the supply at ‘Grisha’s Zimmer’ has been significantly increased, with light refreshments and diverse beverages 24 hours a day for every guest.
