Thanks to the tireless efforts of Chabad emissaries Rabbi Moshiach and Mrs. Kopchik, the necessary arrangements were made to release the body from the local hospital. The Shliach coordinated with Tanzanian authorities to secure all required documentation to facilitate the body’s return to Israel.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Department for Israelis Abroad, working through the consulate in Nairobi, Kenya, issued consular approval for the transport. Burial arrangements will be handled by the Chevra Kadisha in Haifa.
The body is now on its way to Kilimanjaro Airport, where it will be flown to Israel.
Elchanan Roth, commander of ZAKA Unit 360, praised the collaboration with Rabbi Yaakov Roza to ensure halachic and procedural standards were met at the hospital in Arusha. “We remain committed to supporting the family and ensuring the dignity of the deceased in every step of the process,” he said.
