Chabad of Woodmere celebrated Chanukah with their annual Chanukah party as well as local Mivtzoim.

The Chanukah Party was hosted by shluchim Rabbi Efraim and Sarah Mina Setton. The room was elegantly set with a delicious dairy buffet. There were stimulating Chanukah activities for the children, such as donut decorating, dreidel art, sensory activities, as well as a glow-in-the-dark room.

It was a great opportunity to come together as a community, and for parents and children to spend quality time together.

The Menorah lighting ceremony was led by Rabbi Efraim Setton and his powerful voice.

Families were thankful for such a special evening.

The Chabad House also arranged for Menorah pickup trucks and large groups of bochurim dedicated to the Rebbe’s mivtzoim, to go around town spreading the light and joy of Chanukah.

They lit menorahs in pizza stores and businesses and visited hundreds of homes.

Rabbi Efraim and Sarah Mina Setton visited homes as well but knew they couldn’t do it themselves.

There were old lonely people, who lit with tears in their eyes, some might have missed lighting if not for the knock on the door. Chassidisher Divrei Torah were shared and children were filled with Jewish pride by the menorah trucks. Indeed the bochurim’s energy, singing and dancing infused joy and meaning to countless families’ menorah lightings.

Yes, more than a few menorah kits were distributed, and of course, let us not forget the hundreds of donuts enjoyed by all.
