The break-in occurred around 2:00 a.m. near Remsen Avenue and Rutland Road, when the perpetrator reportedly smashed a window to gain access to the residence.
Members of Crown Heights Shmira responded quickly to the scene, alerting the NYPD’s 67th Precinct, whose officers arrived moments later and apprehended the suspect on the property.
Thanks to the vigilance of local volunteers and law enforcement, no injuries were reported, and the situation was brought under control without further incident.
