Initial reports have emerged of a recent rocket attack on the city of Kharkov, Ukraine, which struck the building of the local yeshiva, operated by the city’s Shluchim for decades.
The strike has caused significant damage to the building, as well as its surrounding area.
In response to the attacks, Rabbi Moshe Moskovitz, Senior Shliach to the city said “Despite the attacks on our institutions, the direct hit today on the Yeshiva and the windows of our main synagogue and the kindergarten that were broken from the bombings nearby, we will in the first opportunity renovate and restore and expand all our buildings and programs more than ever before.”
Kharkov, Ukraine’s second-largest city, has been under constant bombardment since the war’s beginning. Just last week the city’s main shul was damaged by nearby explosions.
