Brazen Daylight Burglary in Crown Heights, Suspect Still at Large
A bold midday burglary has shaken the Crown Heights community, as police search for a suspect who used a stolen master USPS key to break into a residential building • Full Report, Watch
The incident occurred around 12:00 PM last Wednesday near St. John’s Place and New York Avenue. The suspect, seen arriving on a moped, unlawfully accessed the building, lingered inside for a significant period, stole property, and even attempted to break into occupied apartments before fleeing the scene.
Crown Heights Shmira has released an image of the suspect, and detectives from the NYPD’s 77th Precinct are actively investigating.
