This Chanukah, the bochurim of Melbourne went out with tremendous energy and achdus to spread the light of Chanukah across the city through Mivtzoim Tanks. In total, four Chanukah Tanks were sent out, led by bochurim from Grades 7 and 8, as well as Mesivta and YG. Each group drove their tank throughout the city, bringing Yiddishkeit to hundreds of Yidden throughout Melbourne.

Over the days of Chanukah, the bochurim reached an incredible number of people. More than 300 pairs of tefillin were put on with Yidden—including 8 Karkaftos—many of whom were deeply moved by the experience. In addition, over 500 menorahs were distributed, ensuring that hundreds of homes would be lit with the warmth and light of Chanukah.

Beyond the impressive numbers, the true success of the Mivtzoim was the dedication and mesirus nefesh of the bochurim. After long hours of preparation, the bochurim went out with enthusiasm, joy, and a strong sense of shlichus, fulfilling the Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach’s call to spread the light of Chanukah to every corner.

This Chanukah Mivtzoim was a powerful demonstration of what bochurim can accomplish when working together with a shared goal—to bring light, warmth, and Yiddishkeit to Melbourne, one menorah, one tefillin, and one smile at a time.

Special thanks to The Mitzva Tanks Office, led by Hatomim Sholom Schreiber, Hatomim YY Lipskier, and Mendel Aron.
