Argentinian President Begins Israel Visit with Davening at the Kosel
Argentine President Javier Milei began his official visit to Israel on Monday evening with a heartfelt prayer at the Kosel, marking the second time he has opened a state trip to Israel at the sacred site • Full Story, Photos
Milei was accompanied by a senior delegation including Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein, Presidential Secretary Karina Milei, and Argentina’s ambassador to Israel, Rabbi Shimon Axel Wahnish. They were welcomed by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, Rabbi of the Kosel, and Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, Director of the Kosel Heritage Foundation.
During the visit, Milei recited a chapter of Tehillim and prayed for the return of hostages still held in Gaza. He signed the guestbook with the words: “Freedom for Zion.”
As in his previous trip, Milei is expected to return to the Kosel on Thursday evening to conclude his visit, this time together with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
