Amazon to End “Try Before You Buy” Program

Launched in 2018 as “Prime Wardrobe,” the service let customers order up to six items on a trial basis and return unwanted pieces within seven days without being charged. However, Amazon cited the program’s limited reach and the growing popularity of AI-powered tools like virtual try-on and personalized size recommendations as factors behind the decision.
Amazon assured customers that free returns will remain available for apparel and that ending the program will streamline the shopping experience with faster delivery and a broader selection.
