In a heartfelt event, around 200 descendants of the Alter Rebbe gathered to celebrate his birthday in Eretz Yisrael. Under the theme “Feeling Connected,” attendees included academics, high-tech professionals, and military leaders.

Rabbi Halperin highlighted the emotional strength of family ties, particularly noting the participation of families who had previously been reluctant to engage. The evening began with a warm reception and featured inspiring speeches, including Rabbi Shmuel Slotzky, who spoke about the principle of “Do Not Stand Idly By,” emphasizing active compassion.

The event included uplifting music and a multimedia segment where descendants shared their personal connections to their heritage.
