As every year, the Rebbe MH”M’s Shluchim in Alma Ata, Kazakhstan are currently hosting an eclectic group of bochurim who have come to the city to learn and daven in the daled amos of the resting place of the Rebbe’s father, Horav Levi Yitzchok Shneerson. The talmidim spent an uplifting Shabbos, together with other guests and locals, to prepare for the auspicious day of Chof Av.
The bochurim, coming from places like Eretz Yisroel, Russia, and even 770, will be maintaining a full schedule of learning throughout the upcoming week, interspersed with farbrengens with the local shluchim, as well as sightseeing tours, teaching them about the prolonged sojourn of the Rebbe’s father in the country firsthand while being in the same places he had been.
The Shluchim, led by Senior Shliach and Chief Rebbi Yeshaya Cohen, have been tirelessly preparing to mark Chof Av, taking in hundreds of guests slated to enter the country this week in order to spend the day by the Ohel.
